The Val Vista Lakes Women’s Club is one of the things that makes living in Val Vista Lakes so special. We are a diverse group of women, who come together to make a difference and have some fun while making friends and building relationships. We work to strengthen the sense of community you feel here in Val Vista. We are always looking for new members, it is a great way to meet people. Please come and join us, you will be met with open arms!
We have several events that we produce each year, some are for charity, some are just for fun, and some are for the community.

Some of the committees and activities planned for this year include the following:
*Monthly meetings take place on the second Wednesday of every month (between September and May), at the Clubhouse They include great food, drinks, and usually a speaker that helps to teach us a new thing or two. We leave plenty of time for socializing with each other.
*Bunco is a delightfully silly dice game that is hosted twice a year for Women’s Club members and their partners. It’s a fun evening with a potluck dinner, bunco and an array of other amusing antics that keep everyone laughing. The potential to win cash prizes only adds to the fun. Witty, wacky, fun ideas are always welcomed on this committee.
*Breakfast with Santa is open to the public, as well as Women’s Club members and includes a delicious breakfast, crafts, a picture with Santa and a special holiday program. This is an excellent committee for a mother and teenage daughter team to share together.
*Luminary Night Hayride is a holiday staple of Val Vista Lakes, where the celebration of community and friendship merge. Shimmering bags of lights line every street and haywagons depart from the elementary school, taking their passengers on a journey through neighborhoods to view Christmas lights and experience the unique holiday joy that only Gilbert offers. This committee needs loads of help and any amount of time that can be donated is always greatly appreciated.
*Christmas Angels is our holiday charity activity. The past few years, we have provided Christmas gifts to the children of the La Mesita Homeless Shelter. This committee also sells hot chocolate, warm cider and cookies at the hayride, donating those proceeds to the shelter, as well.
*Picnic in the park is a new tradition at Val Vista Lakes, starting with the April 15th, 2006 event. This event is for the whole family providing an excellent opportunity to meet new neighbors or get reacquainted with existing families. Activities include Easter egg decorating, face painting, three-legged races, volleyball, basketball and baseball. Each family brings a dish to share. This committee is perfect for members with young children or another opportunity for mother and daughter team.
The Fashion Show or Casino Night is the gala benefit to raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. A true labor of love where the entire community comes together in support for a cure. This is a major undertaking and needs many helping hands. New volunteers are always welcome!
